Project: Refurbishment and upgrade to the existing Waste Transfer Station
Completed: June 2016
Client: City of Whitehorse
The City of Whitehorse Waste Transfer Station was in a poor state of repair. The condition of the roof and critical steel members were in need of attention in order to preserve the longevity of the facility. May Constructions conducted systematic repairs and upgrades to the main steel structure over a three month period. We worked diligently with the Council to ensure that large sections of the facility were kept operational during our works, thus enabling the community to continue to use the facility. The works were conducted mostly at high level and often at night which presented numerous logistical and safety related challenges. However, the planning and professionalism of our team ensured the project was delivered ahead of schedule and with the praise of the Council’s project team.
